Any one who has spoked rims knows how hard it is to keep them clean well I found the easiest way to clean up those filthy spokes. All you need is a heavey duty snow boot lace and some Mothers. Dip the middle of the boot lace in the Mothers and then wrap it around the spoke 3 or 4 times and then start pulling each end back and forth (sort of like buffing a pair of shoes with a cloth) It easy and fast and looks great and no cramping fingers.......
The blacktop jumps up and takes a bite out of mine every ride!!!!
I'm on my 6th set of sliders: I take toyota head bolts, cut off the head at an angle, and weld them to the remains of the first one welded under the boards.
Without them, my boards would have been gone long ago.
I've been meaning to mount these on my footboards but just never have found the time. https://store.mettec.com/product/125/283 Titanium throws the coolest sparks!!!
And when I do have time I just end up jumping on the bike and going for a ride!!!
Maybe I should get them on before June when the wife and I are heading to the Dragon!!!!

I like the idea, cheap and simple. Leather lace, cloth lace, round, flat? Which works best?

I use a 1" wide strip of old t-shirt; covers a bit more than shoelaces I think, but anything will work. My shift rod looks like chrome from it, and it's not, just stock.
Shovel: I've seen those bolts spark and it's nice, but I think I'd go through one in one ride! Mine lay flat so the entire bolt is in contact, lasting longer and still sparks, but I'm just trying to corner faster. It's killer at night though! You can see a bit of spark in my sig pic.
