Well it's been about a month since I installed a set of Samson BG3 Ripsaws on my bike, and tonight I couldn't take it any more and had to reinstall the battery and fire the bike up. These new set of pipes from Samson look and sound awesome. Since they have baffles installed they are not ear splitting, but have a nice deep rumble to them. Louder then the SE slip ons by far, but not annoying loud. I also had to take the bike out for a spin. 23* out, and I put on a whopping mile before I about froze. Pics coming soon...
I just ordered some BG3's. They look great on your bike. Did you re-jet carb? How would you say they compare to V&H Big Shots as far as sound and loudness?
My bike is fuel injected. I still need to order a Power Commander for it. I'm not sure what the V&H Big shots are like exactly, but you will like the new Samsons.
I can identify with your excitement. I just purchased the Samson Side-by-Side Fishtails w/ baffles for my '05 Deluxe and I can't wait for the weather to warm up about 15 degs so I can install them! I'm from Jersey so the weather has been in the 20s-30s lately. I know there is no way I will be able to wait even 5 minutes to fire the bike up after the install.
