I have a 2007 Night train. I have 15000 miles on my original tires. Looking for help with replacements. Which would you put on your bike? Dunlap? Avon? Would you take them off your bike yourself or let the shop do it all?
Agreed, Avon Venoms on both of our bikes. Normally get just one year on them but they are a softer compound tire and are tacky so you get better adhesion on the road. Basically it boils down to your riding style. If you are really aggressive in the corners go for a softer compound tire for better traction, high mileage straight ahead "freeway" driver a harder compound will give you higher miles before replacing them. Have the shop replace them, unless you have a spin balancer at home, also if they screw up the mount they have to replace them!

I run Avon Venoms and am pleased with them. I have an indy shop replace my tyres.
I like Metzler tires, they aregreat + they have a 210 wide back tire that can fit your bike without any mods if you like a fatter tire in the back which most do.
Have run Dunlops for 23 years on my fxst, switched to metzlers this spring . I wish i tried metzler 20 years ago........My bike has never handled this good before. [&:]
+1 on the Metz !!!!
I'm running the 210 Metz.. ME 880 on the rear, ( 210/50ZR17 (78W) TL ME880 ) which is their replacement for OE.
On the front I have the Metz.ME 880 ( 90/90-21TL 54H ME880 )
They stick!
I'm pleased with them.
