i got an 04 fatboy and am about to buy longshots hs and a fuel pak. \\;i am going to take the baffles out. \\; i just wanted hear your guys opinion on the longshot hs with no baffles. thanks
Welcome aboard. You're probably going to get the baffle police telling you don't do it because you'll lose too much low end TQ, you're bike won't run right blah blah blah. \\;I've run drag pipes for the last five years with zero problems. I love the free flowing non baffled sound.
As far as the longshots go never really heard them with no baffles, I'd guess it would be a nice deep tone though. \\;Let us know how it sounds.
I have the big shot longs and for me they were to tinny sounding with the stock baffles. I ended up putting in the quiet baffles and now the tin sound is gone and it's more of the rumble I wanted. Still loud by any means. \\;
I run no baffles, toyed with cuttin em down for low end tq but by the time i liked the sound, there was no more baffle left. My only sugestion is go with the V&\\;\\\\\\;H straight shots. they're staggered so you can take hard offramps. Softails tend to drag the long pipe before you hit floorboard, especially if it's lowered. I also like the idea of equal length pipes. Just my .02, Maybe I'm the only guy that rides like this, it may not effect you. Praise the lowered, love the loud..

I have the long shots, I love the sound WITH baffles, not sure how they would sound without. They WILL drag on corners, especially two up, I may cut mine back a bit, see if that lessens the drag some... scared to do it. (If I wait long enough, I will grind enough off I have to cut them, they will look like crap.)
What year and where you located. I have a set of longshots being taken off \\;a 00
Fatboy now. I ran them without baffles but like the V&\\;H Propipe for the performance.
I am near Atlanta if interested. Anyway if you go with new I liked the sound better w/o
baffles than with. \\; \\;
