Default Garage door opener

Hey has anyone come up with a cool place out of site to put up a garage door opener? Especially on a Heritage, pics?

Sorry, don't have pics, but I put the door opener under my seat on my Deuce and wired in a very small momentary switch by the left side of my seat. Push little switch and door opens. Can't see the switch unless you search for it...

When I put this on my Fatboy, I didn't use high beam to trigger the garage door opener, I put a switch on the back of the fork cover, it works great.

I put mine in my pants. When I get home, I just push the big button in the middle of my jeans and she opens right up. Ride my big bike right in... it slips in real nice and easy. Oh yeah.

Be careful not to push your button too many times as it wears out the battery. It's ok to get your button moist or wet so try to keep 'er clean and dry.

Sometimes I have an accidental discharge and I open doors I shouldn't be opening. This can get you into trouble.

I would show you pics of my button. Don't have any now. Have to get my Poloroid.

Or you could get another odometer buton drill a hole in your console on the other side, use 2 #22 gage wires and solder them to your opener where the OEM button makes the connection. Put some velcro on the opener and the inside of your console and its all hidden and done for the cost of a new odometer button.

I clipped mine to the metal frame inside my soft saddle bag. it's out of site and out of the way and can be removed leaving no trace it was ever there.

The battery in my remote lasts for at least 2 years, still going strong, if you plan to use a momentary switch, make sure you get the water prove rubber boot. I have no problem washing my bike. I used to put the garage door opener in my pocket, 9 out of 10 I cannot find the button right away. If using a switch, I can open the garage door while I am moving, it is worth it.
