I am leaning hard towards the d and d I have never expirienced one though. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing that sounds better than a set of thunderheaders is a true-dual thunderheader system. Nuff said!
I have thunderheaders in my carbed Fat Boy... when it is at idle there isn´t a day I don´t get a compliment from my buddies on the sound of the bike... check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwwKb91qmIs the mic of the point and shoot camera does not make justice to the DEEP sound of the exhaust, the mic gets saturated... the closest to its real sound is when the camera is looking at the headlight, notice how the frequency drops, well in real life is much lower than that.
have you guys had any quality issues with thunderheader like mounts rusting and breaking or bad chrome... and does the thunderheader really help performance
The thunder header sounds awesome but I hate the look (just my opinion). I run sampson caliber 2 into 1. For me it was between the sampson and the fatcat. I'm happy with the sampson , both sound and looks but the thunder header still sounds better.
I have an 08 Heritage and highly recommend the Thunderheader 2 into1. Sound and performance are excellent. The chrome finish is adequate. It is cheaply done and can't compare in durability to a quality finish. My pipe came with an unchromed area around the weld at the end of the pipe and had a small area of surface imperfections that were chromed over. Looked like they chromed over welding splatter. All of the imperfections were not noticable. I really didn't need to but I went ahead and had the pipe rechromed for $100. I couldn't be happier. I spite of everything, I highly recommend this pipe.
As you can see I like the V&H. They make two different styles that I'm aware of. If you go to youtube and do a search for Harley 2-1 I'm sure there will be plenty of videos. You might get lucky and get an example of all those in your list. Good luck.
