I get around 54 usually but as above...I think NC is monkeying with the fuel because I'm down around 50 mpg last time I checked.

45 is what i get with a stock bike. When I loaded up for Bike Week and ran down the freeway at between 75-80 it went down to about 40. I have never tried to run over 200 miles on a tank, and the most I have put in the tank is 4.2 gals. I know that the lit. says 5 gals in the tank, but I don't know if you can actually get that much in the tank. I bought an LED fuel gauge which only gives you lighted dots for the level indication, so you can't watch the gauge as it "passes over" a level mark... can't tell if it's "just getting there" or "sitting on the mark" or "just past the mark" <grin> so I stay on the safe side and let my butt determine how far I'm going between stops.

I did get a Soft Bottom pad (single layer) for the ride to Daytona... without it I wasn't interested in more than 6 hours in a day. With it, I did 13 and my hands and feet were giving out before my butt did. I still stop about every 100-120 miles, so that's what usually determines miles per tank for me unless I stop at a Rest Area, then I don't go over 200.
I've put over 5 gallons in my tank.

And with my mods, I'm getting 30-ish city and 40-ish highway. Before the headwork/cams, I was getting around 35 city and 45 highway - with stage 1 done. I think the mods have inspired me to have more "twist in my wrist", though!

Cheers!
