After reminding him of the process with power vision a light came on and he was off. Really cool dude and I know they do good work there so I'll chalk it up to rust since 95% of the tuners they tune on are the screaming eagle ones.

I am bit dissapointed in the numbers for sure though, 69 HP and 96 FT/Lbs. He said it was mostly because of my exhaust and with a 2-1 header the torque curve woulda flattened out a bit better and HP woulda gone up a good amount, but looks are more important to me.

Heres the chart, torque comes on real strong really early but starts moving down as rpm goes up. I was definitely hoping to see it come on strong there but stay strong longer, he said it was my cam profile in conjunction with my exhaust. IDK, it pulls hard all the way from seat of the pants so I'm pretty satisfied.

Let me know what you guys think, I kinda think more dyno time he coulda smoothed it out a bit but I have no clue how this tuning works.

Stats- 2012 Deluxe, 103", TW222 cams, SE stg 1 A/C, Samson true duals with 33" baffled longtails

Ouch, my 2012 fatboy lo 103 makes those numbers with the factory cams (74 hp 94 tq), big radius 2-2, and SE Heavy Breather and has a much flatter tq curve. Even with 2-2 pipes your tuner should have been able to get more power with the 222 cams. Perhaps you need to look into a 2-1 exhaust system. I just sold my Big radius 2-2 for the V&H propipe myself.

Go to fuel moto's site and look at thier chart for the 222 cams on the 103 with the 2-1 exhaust. There is a major difference in tq numbers and a flater curve. Their dyno pull starts at 100 ft/lbs at 2500 rpms and goes up from there to 112 ft/lbs and doesnt drop back below 100 ft/lbs until almost 5K rpms.

Yeah I looked at the stock numbers and I'm pretty unhappy. I think it was more of a lack of time than anything else though.

Is it normal when they tune to alter the spark? My spark didn't change just the fuel and VE tables. I'm thinking there is a good amount of power that could be made if they adjusted the spark tables.

Like I said though, once I get the 39" pipes I'm going to take it somewhere else and get tuned and hope for better numbers.

Fuel motos dyno sheets are all running 2-1 pipes, I have to assume with a 2-1 I'd easily pick up 10HP and tq. I like the look of the duals so they'll stay, I was just hoping to have made it better with the cams.

I think next winter I'm going to have the heads done and new pistons with a better cam. My brother had this done this past winter by a reputable local guy for a good price so I might do the same.

98 CI
Ported heads
SE 50mm TB
Reaper 594 cams
TP eng roller rockers
S&S lifters
SE cam plate and oil pump
Bassani road rage 2:1

This was just an A/F tune, going to have it retuned in a few weeks and make some timing changes and other adjustments. Should pick up a little more.

It was 91 Degrees F, and 25% Humidity.

Psycho Dave,,,, the dip U have between 2.3 and 3.3 rpms is IMO something that should be tuned out, as 90% of our riding is in the 2k to 3k rpms range as most others I wouldn't want it.

OR maybe U just built Ur motor for the 3-6K rpms and those are the results of that build. I don't know about the Reapers cams.

Thinking that dip can be tuned out in the dyno room by the Tuner when U retune it better..

She's making good TQ already and Really good HP for just an A/F tune..

yno's How much are the dyno's coing for at a HD dealership? Is is wise to first do the Stage 1 download, then the dyno? Or does it matter. I have a stock 2006 Heritage. Any advantage to doing both, one, or none?

You don't need a Dyno run for a Stage 1 Air Cleaner, and factory download. You can do a Dyno run for fun and for a base line performance to compare future changes. A Dyno run without tuning can be free at some places, if your doing more business with them, or it can cost 200.00 or more if they want to charge you that.

If you then only add pipes into the mix, a tunable device like a SERT, or PowerCommander, Xied, or other programmable device should be added as well, you still don't need a a Dyno tune, standard presets will do you fine.

If you then make other changes like a cam, or head work, etc.. then you definitely want to have the Dyno tune done for best results.
