Love my bike. Cannot help but look at it each time I walk away from it. Ride smooth as silk stock but even better with the bike seat I installed on it. Gets comments everywhere it goes.

I have an '05 Deluxe that I've enjoyed riding and adding fun bling during the last 3 years. No matter what anybody says, it does turn heads, and the girly rumor thing is all horsecrap. I upgraded the seat by sending out to americanasoftseats.com to have gelpad and memory foam, and it's good for all weekend long riding for a few hundred miles. I'm only 5'10", so can't give any feedback for the 6 foot plus guys out there.
looking at 09 deluxe anyone out there riding one. If so the good and the bad.
this is the best bike HD makes without a doubt i own an 09 and it handles - rides great the only bad thing about it is because of the bikes low hieght you may rub your floorboards against the ground when turning but that didnt stop me from lowering my bike more its by far the best loooking HD around. it has plenty of power with a 96 cubic in it also you wont be disatisfied with this bike not in the least. low bikes are baddasssss!!!
I have an 08 which is the same thing the 09 are. HD didn't make any changes. Great bike and don't have any major complaints about. I'm 6'2, 210 and can ride it all day. You will enjoy it, but look into some other seats. As for a chicks bike, I have seen women on EG's so does that make it a chicks bike too?
I own a 07 Deluxe...yep it is a girl's bike...really since I am a girl! LOL I love the nostalgic look and it is a head turner! I agree with the hot/lean issues...they can be remedied easily! I am a 5'9" woman and this bike fits me well...I have a girlfriend that is 5 foot on a phonebook and she fits her's well. My hubs is 7 feet flat out and he looks like a circus clown on my bike...good thing he has his Road King! There are issues with the aftermarket parts...but thank God we are in the US where ingenuity is still king...many on eBay and swapmeets make accessories to fit. I would not ever say that it's a girl bike...but the lower seat height makes it attractive to shorter statured people...which mostly covers GIRLS! My hubs loves my bike's good looks he just wishes that it was a bit more friendly to his frame. DITCH the passenger pad...it SUCKS! Like riding on the fender! Me---I don't ride with passengers at all so mine has a fender bib now. If you enjoy fringe for the footboards see D & S American Leather out of Ohio at some of the swaps they make AWESOME fringe with the old style gem studs...very nostalgic! Counting the days til SPRING!
