I have a 08 deluxe with over 35,000 km's on it. Most of that two up, we have both really enjoyed every minute. You do get plenty of people, of every age talking to you and taking pics.

Smile Passenger seat

I'm considering buying the Touring Passenger seat for my '07 Deluxe and was wondering how comfortable it is. I usually ride 1-up but have family coming in on vacation and won't put anyone on that stock seat! I appreciate your feedback.

Sue I have a friend who has the touring passenger seat for his wife. She hated the stock one. They are both much happier with the touring seat.

Ok, not to hyjack this tread but the wife and I were at the local dealer today and she fell in love with a 08 deluxe. The problem is that my wife is very vertically challanged. Barely 5'. Very short legs. When she sat on the scoot she could just touch with her toes. Now, my question is can the bike be lowered any more? The scoot was an 105 aniv. model. She loves the color. With the bike on the jiffystand she had a little difficulty getting it off the stand. I think it would need to be lowered about an 1" not so much in the front but in the rear. I have riden deluxes on demo days and felt very comfortable in the saddle. Wouldn't mind adding to the stable.

Can this be done?

I went in to HD looking for a Fatboy, came out on my Deluxe. No regrets at all.
I saw a "girl" on a Road King the other day. Does that mean the Road King is the new girl's bike?

The Deluxe is an awesome bike...Great for touring with a few tweaks and great for crusin the strip at night. The two tone paint schemes on this bike really make it a looker. As for the running lean comments, don't all stock Harley's run lean? The Deluxe engine is no different than any of the other Softail models...For '09 its the TC 96B engine which is a fine engine. Never heard the anything about the "girls bike" reputation...except girls will drool over ya when your ridin' it.

Moonrider, I have a 105lb 4'11" friend with an '05 Deluxe. She had the bike lowered and the front part of the seat narrowed. She is flat footed on that thing! You can also look into the reach seat for you.

Safe riding!
