I have an 07 softail fxst.
I put new pipes on and dont want rubber on them from passengers boot heels.
What do you do to keep passengers heels off your pipes.
I dont want boards, as I want to keep the same look of my bike.
suggestions welcomed.
Tell them to be careful not to step on the pipes or else it will ruin their shoes. Always works. Women can understand that cause the word shoe is a part of their vocabulary...
Those are some great ideas, thanks. I got Rush slip on pipes.
However, since the wife wont ride barefoot, I am looking for something more practical.
I do like the hand grenade thing, but this is my wife NOT the ex-wife. But thanks for the idea
Make sure she wears real riding boots, not something wih a big heel. As long as the heel isn't too big they shouldn't hit the pipes when her feet are on the pegs.

+1 and the soles wont melt as quickly when touched on the pipes...also get a stick of road rub cleaner for the occasional accidents...it cleans the marks right up...
Thanks for the road rub tip.
That will take care of my next question.
Her boots are harley brand boots, but the pipe is right under her heel.
I am thinking maybe i will get some extensions so her foot is not over the pipes
