Default Chrome Splash Guard Help

I'm looking to replace the OEM black plastic rear wheel splash guard with a chrome one. This is the one that sits in front of the rear wheel, not the one that the license plate is mounted to. I have an '07 Deuce. Anyone know of a direct bolt on? Thanks

It is merely a rectangular sheet of metal. I bought the version from HD. It was pre drilled for the included metal bolts. Some have had diamond metal sheets cut to size.

Either way, it is a good and easy DIY modification. Shows more space around the rear wheel and gets rid of the cheeze plastic.

Bull Duck - Isn't there a cutout top and bottom for the belt on the drive side and a small notch on the non drive side for the brake line?

Anyone have the dimensions or a template they could share?

Making one out of diamond plate sounds like a great idea.

You guys that are considering fabbing up your own.Be aware that the piece has a slight radius in it,so you can't use material that is too stiff. You need to be able to bend it somewhat.

Chillman - Thanks for this thread. Actually, I have been watching that one also. I'm waiting for someone to give a template or the needed measurements. I plan on using .125" aluminum polished diamond plate which can be bent the bit that I will need to be shaped.

Yep, as noted above, I installed this a few days ago. I'm very happy with it. No need to take off the rear wheel. Just need to put the bike on a lift, and I cut a hex wrench down to be able to work in the narrow space. It took a little longer, but I didn't have to worry about readjusting the belt, etc. Take a look at the pics on my thread noted above.
