You can do it either way, lower first then kit, or kit first and then lower
Don't make no difference!!

If you buy the Heartland EZ Rocker kit it will come with everything you see pictured.. If you want to mount the tail lights off/below the fender you will need to either order the mounts from them or make your own.. They're just a simple strap that's powder coated... I used my stock lights rather than order more.. They will also ship you a new bump stop.. As for lowering, that's on you but I can promise you, you will want it down the full 2" like the rest of us.. There are several ways to lower it.. You can buy the $50 bolt kits from Arlen Ness, Burn Out Cycles, etc or you can go with a full shock replacement from someone like Progressive.. I understand Progressive also has a bolt kit now as well but I don't know the price.. I bought the Progressive 422's and am very happy with the ride... One tip, when you get ready to lower the bike and if you decide to slam it, make sure you change the bump stop the smaller one from Heartland BEFORE you lower it all the way... I did and then found the swimg arm to be slammed onto the OEM stop and that made for a ride like a rigid frame.. Of course the only way to then get the old stop out and the new one installed is to pretty much take everything apart that you just put together.. lol

As for customer service.. Maybe they just don't like guys from the UK.. lol

I had great customer service with them..

I have been away for a while but every now and then I pop back in to see whats going on.

I have never had a problem with Heartland, as far as parts and timing of delivery , was shipped and recieved within a week of purchase, as for lowering , I first lowered the front with harleys front end lowering kit ,and then used a lowering kit ( longer bolts for the rear shocks is what it amounts to) for the rear about 2 ", let me tell you it looked good but rode like chit, and dont even think about a good ride with a passenger, I ended up installing a Legends air ride system in the rear and that made all the differance, can also ride with passenger with no problems. hope this helps

I agree with 250 when I lowered the bike with lowering shocks I almost broke my teeth when I hit a bump and the ride was terrible so I put the stock set up back and gave away the $300 shocks to a friend with a custom I am saving up for an air ride I would say that is the right way to go and why waste the time and money by trail and error instead of a sure thing like air ride

I just looked and realized that if I put the rock guard on that heartland sent me my PCIII is gonna be exposed. I can run my stock rock guard and be ok right??? Not only the PCIII will be exposed but my compressor is tucked behind it to. Im gonna be taking some trips and I ride in the rain. I don;t want anything getting messed up.
