Picked up my 2000 deuce last July with 1400 miles on it. At 4100 now.
Just bought WCC Hell Bents for it (not pictured)
I want to convert the back end to something like this. Can anyone help me figure out what back fender that is? I want an awesome spoked wheel too for the back.
I bought my 01 Deuce new in 2000. Wanted carb bike but FI came in, took it and been freaking happy ever since. Was a Vivid Black with red pin stripes. 3 years ago a custom paint by "Attitude custom paints" in Florida was added. Along with a front fender by Fat Katz. Attitude shaved the tale light on rear fender and I went with a solo seat by C&C custom seats. I Did an engine build 1 1/2 yrs ago. Added a 200 metzler with 60 spoke by Hog pro. Ness 3" foot control ext. And numerous other additions.
I bought my 06 Deuce in October of 05 and love it as much now as when it was new.
I use the stock seat for daily commuting. I like the looks and it's broken in now.
I bought the Sundowner for when the Mrs rides with me. She likes that a lot better. Last fall I picked up a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady with one backrest. It's a lot more comfy for me, but the jury is still out on how she likes it as she hasn't ridden on it yet. I don't care for the looks of it, but it's only on for the long weekend rides.
Here it is with the Gunfighter seat.
Here it is with detachable bags and the Sundowner seat.

Looks like a heartland rear fender. Guy in my msha class last week had an 07 with the same fender, rear fender struts, and signals, he's got a heartland rear kit on it.
It's interesting that in polls on sites like this, when people are asked to name their least favorite Harleys the Deuce and Rocker are always at the top of the list. But people who own them rave about the looks, ride and handling. The long wheelbase (almost as long as a King) really tracks well and the bike corners fine. At 80+ mph the front end gets a bit squirrely, but I rarely ride that fast.
I love my '03 anniversary Deuce. It's been totally reliable and fits me (5"11", 215 lbs.) perfectly. I found an unused Sundowner seat on Craigs for cheap and it's a big improvement over the stock seat. I keep wanting to change the bars, but it fits me so well from the factory I don't want to mess with success.
80+ is my highway cruising speed and I don't have issues.
My one gripe, which hopefully extending them will fix, is that the stock pegs are up high and still really close. Being up high gives the Duece one of the best set of lean angles of any HD, but stock they're a bit uncomfortable after a while. I don't know if I want to go the full 3" on the extension though; I don't want to be totally stretched out. I think we have up to 37 degrees on the right side.

They just don't like the deuce because they are old and well... old.
Well I couldn't stand it any longer. As an '02 Deuce owner I guess I need to participate a little. I've had mine about 2 1/2 yrs. and average 12,000 miles per yr. and I like mine a lot. Replaced stock seat, rolled handle bars to fit me better, extended controls 3" (i'm 6'3") and made a lot of difference in ride. I have painted tins by "BADDAD", Supertrapp Mean Mothers, Pirelli Night Dragon tires w/180/60/17 on stock rear with no problems, older softail deluxe saddle bags and license plate repositioned. Sorry the bike is dirty, but since I last rode it, I have had double knee replacement.
