Default Rush Slip on install issues.

SO Im new here. New to Harleys.
But have always wrenched on cars. Old British stuff usually.

SO I call FuelMotoUSA and order up Rush slip on's for my 09 crossbones.
I had read that it was a good idea to replace the clamps when I put the new muffs on. Went down to the Harley store, paid 13$ for 2 new clamps. I have read anything from 36ftlbs torque on the clamps to 120inch lbs.
I just broke a clamp bolt at 90ft/lbs and I was having leaking at 65 ft/lbs.

Anyone have any advice?

thanks.

Ted

Try ultra copper on the pipe before you slip it into the head pipe. That should help seal it.
