Just installed rush slip ons on my 09 fatty, has anyone had any fitment problems, its like the bottom pipe needs to slide in further but cant because of the bracket holes and mounting holes on the muffler,i suppose i could remove the factory mounting bracket and enlongate the holes but that seems like a lot of work just to mount slip ons.
i had the dealer put my rush slip on mufflers on my fatboy no problem they charged me 45.00 well worth it. i was going to do it myself i saw the 4 bolts behide the mufflers i knew they would be a pain to get off.

Please call our tech support. They can help verify what's causing the fitment issue. You should not have to modify the factory mounting bracket. If there is a problem with the mufflers we will take care of it. If you prefer, snap some pictures of the issue and email sales@rushracingproducts.com with a detailed description.
Muffler clamps are recommended as one time use only.

I had to elongate one of the holes on my factory bracket. The Rush muffler mounting holes were off just enough that I couldn't get both bolts in for one of the slip-ons. No big deal with a dremel. Would be nice if the quality control fixed this as it seems somewhat common. Other than having to hog out a hole...the install was CAKE.
EDIT: BTW, I called Rush and they told me they couldn't help me...I was told to send them back to where I bought them. Hard to do when I bought them off eBay on closeout...ie: no returns.

I just purchased and installed slip on's on my 09 Fatty a week ago. The install was simple with no fitment problem at all using the original clamps. The job took 35 mins. What sold me was a rep from Rush who actually post on this site and answered complaints immediately. He even gave a guy who had a issue with a set of two year old mufflers a new set. Do a search on Rush products, I'm sure that rep (forgot his name) would point you in the right direction.

Wish I spoke to whoever that was when I called them. The Rush rep was the one who told me if I couldn't send them back to the seller to elongate the mounting hole. Whatever the story...there seems to be a random quality issue with the correct distance between mounting holes.
When I measured the original muffler holes and bracket they were 3-3/4" center....one Rush slip on was 3-11/16"...slightly shorter.

i just installed the slash down 2.25 baffle slip ons last saturday, the bike only had the bottom two mounting bolts on the top two werent there, might be a x bones thing though as the entire exhaust is joined together by the h-pipe which has a black shield over it. So i installed the pipes and bought 2 new bolts for the top pipe, only one of them fit cause rush's holes don't line up perfect, the bottom pipe went on perfect though. Then not as it makes too much of a difference im leaving it as it is 3 bolts is better than 2 like the bike came with.
Secondly after squeezing my hands trying to get those bolts onto the frame finally i tightened the main clamps (2) it says 65ft lbs so we did that. Then start the bike and there were exhaust leaks on both pipes where the slits on the pipes are that are covered by the clamps. So we tightened it all the way!, same leaks only at idle and when you touch the throttle it goes away. So emailed rush they said this is not normal and like the HD service manual says muffler cement for leaks. So i talked to this old time harley guy he said "ride it hard, leave the bike on and tighten the bolts then" So i did just that and they turned another 1/4" so i took my glove off to see and the leaks were gone! So when the pipes heat up tighten them up. Done and done. Drove it 250mi and the plugs are fine! No tuning done at all.
