I have an 06 Deluxe and I am in the middle of changing my stock bars to the HD narrow beach bars. I am running my wires inside my bars but I am having trouble removing my pins from the electrical connector. I need to know what you guys use to release the pins from the connector. I have pulled the rubber boot from the connector to expose the pins but I cant squeeze a scribe in the slot. please help!
thanks for the replys. The link with the ape hanger change out was great but my connector is different. I will have to try a paper clip to see I can get release the pins. Thanks.
I had no problems doing my 06,took about 15-20 sec and pins were out,I used a small screwdrive to release each pin and pulled on the wire, they all poped out one by one..

Yea, i messed with those damm connectors and i got out about half of them. Then got pissed and then i just cut the damm thing out and spliced my wires back together(solder). Everything works perfect. And my connector looked different also. It took me more time messing with the connectors than it did to take the tank off. Go figure....
Thanks for the replys and links. I found the link showing how to remove the pins from the connector and it was money. I broke my fuel line from the fuel tank to the fuel injection and I was upset. thanks again.
