Haters of the rear fender just need to put a nice rear wheel on and it improves it big time IMHO.. The rear wheel was the major problem with the deuce. Here's my 07. Remember 07's were lowered an inch from the factory compared to all other deuces and only deuce with the 96 ci. I think that one inch diff and a wheel set completely transformed my bike. Haters gonna hate on deuces though..
What seat is that? I'm having trouble choosing a seat. Made worse by really needing reduced reach seat, which I wanted to avoid. :/

As far as I know it is a stock seat. Bought the bike used though so not 100% sure if it is stock. It's not comfy at all I know that. You are the second person to ask me what seat I have though so now I wonder if it really is stock? Will have to look under it next time I have it off.
It could be if you have a newer Deuce. I have an OEM seat from an older one and it has no support at all. When you sit on it, it squishes. I only have experience with the stocker, the Sundowner, and the Lepera Bare Bones. The Sundowner is really comfy and offers some back support, but it's huge and ruins the look of the bike how I have it set up. I still use it for longer trips and two up. I'd like to find a somewhat comfy 2 up seat that doesn't have me sitting as high as with the Sundowner. Before the Shotgun was installed I had just the 2" lowering collars and it would have me flat footing only when I had my thick sole boots on. I'm about 5'1"-5'11" depending on how much gravity is effecting me on any given day.

Mut, just my thought but make the bars reach you. As long as you feet reach the ground with a little spread...no big deal and any seat will work that looks good to you. Unless you're 5'2" or shorter , a seat is not the problem. It's the bars that do not come back far enough. I'm tall and I run 3" fwd controls and a 2" pad on the seat and still needed extended bars. (they extended back couple inches and had a little more angle) Made all the difference in world in how it felt. I never ride two up but just use the back to carry my pack when I travel or head to the gym. Had another leather seat like jds but all my stuff beat on the fender.

2000-07, which is 8 years...not a bad run for a bike with an ugly rear fender. I do love mine though, and that fender slowly grows on you. Agreed it does look better when the bike is lowered.

I completely agree with you. I've only had mine for a couple months and I don't want to tear down for bars yet. I'm looking at 2" offset dog bone style risers. That should help a lot. I'll have to get bars to, so I'll be able to knock out a couple of birds at once. I have 1.25 bars now, so I can't just swap risers without coughing up $ twice. But, it's on the list. Thanks for the advice.
I'm not too hip on my foot position either. So, adjustments there are on the list too. I guess I'm gonna suck it up for the summer and fall. At least by winter I'll know exactly what I'm looking to achieve.
