So im lookin for a new seat, Im about 6' 4" and need to sit back some even with forward controls. Ive looked at the Badlander, some La Perra and Corbins, but really like the look of the Mustang Tripper. The fact that it has the pop on passenger pillion is a plus too. Does anyone have one of these or know anything about em? Are they comfortable? Move you back and down? Thanks in advance.
I have the solo tripper on my train. I think it raised me up a tad and sat me back a little further. I'm 6'3 and find it more comfortable then the stock. It gets more comfortable as you break it in as well. My tailbone still gets a little sore after long riding, but much better compared to the stock. After 30 mins, I was hurting on stock. Now I can go a couple hours pretty easily on the solo tripper.
how does the passenger pillion connect? And would sending it to Mean City to get trimmed down a bit do any good or just be a waste of money?? Thanks for the reply
Ive got that seat sitting in my cart at Kirk. Just sittin on the trigger I guess. By what youve told me it sounds like a really nice seat. I have a passenger every now and then, so its cool that I could throw that pillion on the back and be good to go.
Ive got a set of 3" extensions just like those you sent me, I love em, and they were a lot better on the wallet.
My Lowering kit gets in Tuesday. Its a set from Progressive, not the whole shocks, but the less expensive rods that go into my factory shocks. Did you install yours yourself? They dont sound too bad to do, I got my spanner wrench already to ease the install and later adjustments.
Hmmm. . . . . tripper seat. . . . yea, I'm gona hop over and order it. Thanks for the good input.
I swapped my stocker Fat Boy seat for one from a Standard. I had Mean City rework it.... they "moved" me back about 2 inches and down about 2 inches. that and extended controls and floorboards gave me enough room..... check my sig photo.
Just found out after talking to a lady at La Perra that they are going to be releasing a passenger pillion for the Bare Bones solo. I find this intriguing, asked for pics but she said its not pushed through yet. May look into a La Perra instead if that pillion looks cool. Anyone have any reviews about the bare bones solo as far as how it positions you, comfort etc.??
