here's an idea waiting for someone
G'Day USA Harley legends, guys I'm joining the Forum from Sydney Australia - hope you don't mind? I love the mods and stuff you guys get away with.
If any of you are thinking about a new line of work you should think about organising harley and aftermarket bike parts for shipment to non-USA markets. Down Under we pay more than double for the price for accessories and there is little retailer competition here, so prices remain high regardless of the exchange and import rates. There is plenty of margin being creamed off. Also, often sellers in the US, including the major aftermarket shops, dont accept foreign credit cards making it impossible to order outside the US. Someone based in the US should end our misery and offer us a service where we send you our $$$ by Pay Pal and tell you what we want, you order, receive and then mail to us. All you would need is the right website and I'd be 'in like Flynn' and so would all my HOG mates! You could charge a 20% service fee and would still be undercutting all the shop competition here? Hope this starts a revolution! Harley owners in New Zealand and throughout Asia would probably be in a similar situation.
