Default X-bones and interwiring handlebars

OK -- I need some help!!!

I am looking to swap out the Mini apes to something more like drag bars. (Still undecided on what bars -- open to suggestions). I want them internally wired and depending on the price put some breaded lines on.

So my questions is/are ---

How many hours of labor should i be geting charged for by the dealership?

Any suggestions on place to look for and buy braided lines

any suggestions on places to buy bars from.

Thanks guys you are always first and last place i turn to for advise about my bike..

For me i changed to Carlini 1 1/4in dia 7" pullback bars. And as for wiring they were easy but took some time. i had to lengthen the wires so the soldering and shrink wrapping took some time but its easy. Check out this site out its Carlini's site i hope it helps.

Having a shop install and extend wiring is not cheap. Most quotes range from $350 to $700 depending on the shop and such. Do it yourself and and use the extra cash for more mods.

unfortunatly some people are not able to do it themselves.......which is why the stealers are still in buisness.......if you cant then read up on it and learn.....its rewarding work and will save you a fortune

Pretty much what everybody has already said. Not hard but time consuming. Check some threads for tips. If the bars come pre drilled then it will be a little bit easier.

Its a project the first time but not difficult and short of a soldering iron requires no special tools.

After your first time its easy.

Dealership you are looking at 4+ hours labor.

My dealer quoted me 7-10 hrs. I did it myself in about 3 1/2hrs. I was able to use all stock length cables on mine. Internally wiring flat bar like a drag or beach bar is cake just time consuming. The toughest part is pulling the wires out of the connectors But go to wild1 bars site they have wiring tips.

Also I was able to just slide my tank back far enough to get at the connectors ie. did not have to drain and remove tank. Here is what mine looked like pulled apart.

The only issue I would see is if you have to change your clutch cable I'm not sure how much effort that would be.

By the way narrow beach bars would look killer on your bike.
