why can't i do that? i was really going to list it for $12k hope to get $10K but take $8-9k for it.

nah seriously I want to hold on to it for a while. or unless an offer comes that i can't resist.

I live on a small island. i can't afford to go bullishing someone about the bike if i do sell it. i'm a be strait about how i got the bike and more important what i fixed. there is nothing for me to gain by BSing here.

I haven't ridden in years and this bike is bringing the bug back. MY wife is pregnate and money is tight. but i hope to get my sportster out of probate and into my name so me and my wife can ride together. thats what i hope.

but with times being tough i'll easily sell this bike for my unborn kids. (twins)
Well, you let me know if you want the tank. Now, if you want to keep it the same color, you may want to start looking for a tank badge, unless both are in good condition. Also, I think PPG can mix that gun metal blue for your painter. Shipping on the bars is $17. Not sure why so much by USPS. Where do you live?

I have cylinders and pistons from an 02 night train (twin cam 88) that are essentially new. I had a 95 cubic inch upgrade done to it before it left the dealer. The only miles on these were the factory test before it came to the dealer. I have them in the boxes that my "big bore" parts came in and they have been in the basement for all this time. I just looked at them recently and they're in great shape. I also have a nice two seat with a cushy passenger seat for your rider. Let me know if you think you can use these. Jim

I think 14K is a joke. It wouldn't be worth that much if it were bone stock in mint condition with a clean title. I would keep on looking. Have you priced HD parts lately? A few dings and scratches will total a bike, so that will give you an idea of the price of parts. Honestly, in this economy, you should be find something compareable for 3-5K less, not wrecked, and with a clean title. If the left side was hit that hard, what does the primary look like? Did you see the bike in person?

looks like you need to read the entire thread. 1 Beat Up HOG got the bike and according to him and his mechanic - it doesn't have that much damage, mostly cosmetic.

Well, find out wether your tank has two fuel inlets or one then, and let me know. I believe you can use heads from 01-up. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong here.
