I agree with you and Bob, it just don't look right. I was hoping someone knew of one that 'fit' the bike. So far, the mustache looks about as 'low profile' as they come.
And yeah, I had some good, supported throw-overs and was surprised that they took a lot of the impact of the bike hitting the ground.

I agree 100%. Had an engine guard on my Sportster and while riding the 15 out to Vegas last year, I got pushed off the highway by a semi. I was able to slow way down but when I hit the sand it slid out (lucky didn't hit any cactus). The engine guard took the brunt of the slide into the dirt and bent back taking out the shifter. But my leg was fine. It's my opinion that my leg would have taken that hit without that bar there. I'll never own a bike without an engine guard on it now.

I was gifted the guard, and added highway pegs. They are probably my favorite mod so far for comfort, but not looks. At first, i would only put them on when taking long trips. Now, I just leave them on.
