Default Windvest vs. Memphis Shades Windshield

I'm considering a shield for my Deuce that I'd like to use for road trips that involve extended highway cruising. Mainly interested in the lowest profile possible that will effectively take the pressure off of my neck & shoulders from the wind blast of 70+ mph.

I've narrowed the choices down to the following:

- Windvest 14"x 16" - Clear
- MS 17" El Paso Sportshield (fork mount)
- MS 18" Hellcat (handlebar mount)

I'm having a hard time justifying the price of the Windvest which is about 2x that of the MS shields.

Thoughts from anyone who have experience with either of the shields I've mentioned???

I have the El paso for my Fatboy. I use the MS Fairing in the winter for long rides and the El Paso in the summer for long rides. I really like it, works well at speeds up to 85 -90. I dont experience any buffeting but you do feel some wind in the face., it takes the pressure off your body and decresases fatigue. Best thing is off in a minute for around town riding and short 1/2 day stuff.

I believe the El Paso comes in a 17" & 19" version, which one do have?

My husband has the Hellcat on his Victory Vegas and although he is not a winshield guy, it helps for the long highway trips. The only issue is the first time install. It's a little clumsy to position and then line up the handlebar mounts and the rods to get the right position. He wound up leaving the mounts on the bars and that seems make for a much easier switch over (and he does not put it on often), but I prefer my HD quick disconnect.

There are lots of used Windvest shields on eBay.

Check out the shields offered by National Cycle, too. They have a couple sport shields.

What's involved in removing the Windvest and what is left on the handlebar?
