Instead of sanding you can get aircraft parts stripper, spray it on, and wipe it off. Another trick I read about on the forum. Of course your forks will have to be off the bike to do this.
oh I mean polishing, the forks to enhance the beauty of the rims!!
Chrome um', with nut & axle covers.
I did what Drew recommended with changing the brake pads to the Lyndall's. Big improvement in performance and dust control on the chrome rims.
Kuma,
All '07 Fatboys have a gap on one side of the wheel and the fender is also offset from the front fork. I have the factory bullet hole wheels. Harley doesn't make any custom wheels for the 2007 FB and aftermarket wheels are way out of my range.
I guess before I would put $2,000 - 3,000 in wheels I'd spend it on a Big Bore kit and cams. I've already put thousands into appearance anyway. IMHO

Thanks for the info. The gap seems to be common but is not noticed.
Yeah, no way I could afford 2-3k on wheels. Got lucky, found them on craigslist for very cheap. A lot less than the cost of one discounted PM wheel alone and this included matching rotors, pulley and a Metzeler front.
Did cams myself last winter - you will enjoy that!

Chrome would be really sweet. If they turn out like this for $20, good enough for me.
