best way to lower a softail standard

nice thanks to all. i ordered the bolts from ebay. i was talking to my buddy about the bolts and he said instead of takeing the bolts to the shop to get them repressed he cut a little of the bolts and just put them on like that. He said it is basiclly the samd thing. has anybody tried this? if so how did it work out??

I'm sure we all thought of that and didn't do it... just take the shocks off have them pressed replace the bolts with the longer ones... Do it right the first time or do it wrong a few times... It's up to you... But when you're running 90 on the highway I'm sure even you would wanna feel safe knowing that you did it the right way? If you wanted easy you should have looked in to the "burnout Kits" I don't know if they still make them but those you did not have to take the shock apart. Jus my .02
