Touch up paint should at least keep it from spreading and protect the metal underneath.
I've got a spare rear fender I can sell you cheap if you want to mod it, chop it, extend it, whatever (or even keep it stock, of course), then you could get it painted at your leisure and swap out with no downtime.
Only issue it had/has is right at the front of it just below the right fender strut it looks like they bumped it into something before putting it on the bike.
May not be worth it if the damage on yours is pretty small, but figured I'd throw it out there.
yeah, it's tiny chips on the edge of the fender, far from replacing it. just bugs me a bit, but thanks. when i hit a bigger wall i'll give you a shout out
Finally got the bike back from my indy. Really liking the new BR bars, taking a little getting used to on the engine guard. Probably gonna need some foot pegs on there. Already needed a new front tire with only 3400 on the Mitch II! Fortunately the owner and I were talking about the new bars when he looked down and said we can take care of that front tire right now if you want. I said whata mean? And then DAMN, it's 3/4 through the wear bars and I wasn't even looking yet!!!! I have no idea what happened there. Either it was the chittiest tire ever made or the stealership that mounted it put a used tire on and I didn't notice. My fault 'cause I honestly didn't even look. I'd already quit taking the bike there obviously, but either way, it still pisses a guy off doesn't it? I'll get some pics up this coming week when we get some sun, it's raining right now. Anyway, she's getting closer to the vision. Always closer, never there!
This is my first post...Here is the bike I just picked up last week. The bars might be a little high for me so I may swap out to 16"...by the way...my first Harley.
Well... riding season officially over here. Sad day.
On a positive note, I've started piling up bits and bobs to install on the bike on days off.
Will be installing FM 107 kit, doing more powder-coating, and have had some custom parts made (shift linkage, derby and timing covers), putting on a Denali sound bomb horn (if I decide I like it)...
I also may start shopping forward controls... Anyone else running them? Any recommendations?
i love my floor boards, i've had forwards on all my bikes and was always trying to find a good position for my feet. my feet were always dancing around on the pegs. never again!
