Finally got my sissy bar rig set up so I can attach the luggage to it when I go on a trip. Nothing special. I didn't use the relocation kit I just grinded the quick releases around the wings. All I have to do is apply a little flat black to the raw metal and that will do it.
So Im looking for a place to secure my jacket during a ride once it starts to warm up. In Montana it can be 40 deg in the morning then 90 in the afternoon. I have saddle bags for my lo but i really hate the look of them on, so I never use them. Maybe I need to get over the look but I just cant seem to do it! I ordered a xl swindarm bag the other day but Im guessing it wont fit in there. I saw a bike that had a jacket secured to the bars. It looked like a good idea. What do you guys do?

When it gets chilly here I wear a sweat jacket and a light weight jacket and then when it warms up I just throw them both in the SA bag. If you fold them just right they will both fit in there. Yes it is tight but it works.
Been a long week for me, bought a house and had to pack everything in a 20 ft. trailer and take it to the house and unpack everything. Got a pic the day of the closing with our dog Harley. I gotta catch up on my PM's and everyone asking about my old pipes lol.

If you ride solo (i.e. dont run with the passenger seat), you can get a luggage rack (MotherWell's are relatively cheap) and strap it to that.. or like was posted, get a cargo net that will fit under your passenger seat and strap it to that.. Or (and I like this idea most that was posted)..get a set of 8" bungee cords, roll the jacket into a bundle, and strap it to your handlebars above your headlight. no sweat, chet.
Damn, I was in Vegas the last 4 days and there isn't many comments from the entire weekend. Must be that time of the year that everyone is riding...
My new transformation project should be complete by middle of next week. Will get pics up as soon as possible ;-)
Did you enjoy the 111F+ weather here or at least it got up to at least that high today where I am at. Most of my riding lately has been early morning or after sunset.
I was thinking the same thing. I was moving in my house all weekend and didn't even check out anything on tv or internet. Thought I'd have to catch up on a few pages.
