I bought a new Road King in 1994 and kept it for 8 years but have owned a standard FB and my current Lo since...no desire for a Touring bike at any point.
Same here, it's my forever bike. I enjoy the BS as well.. Maybe it's just me but unless you've bought a new 18, the whole forum seems to be slowing down. Harley has put us older guys out to pasture with these new models. I'll always be a fan of Fat Boy's in general, just don't like the new 18's. They desecrated the classic look and lines of the bike. Those wheels look like they belong on an ATV. Just not my cup of anything.
Ya, I did not make the Cool Kids list either...The care factor is just not there...
We have done a lot of mods to these bikes. Not all of these mods are just for the Lo.
Until I totaled the Street Bob, I lived in the Dyna Forum. I did a lot of mods on the SB and most were transferable to the Lo. Even though I keep saying I'm done modding it, I find something to do every year. The purpose keeps changing. From a bar hopper to a bagger.
There are still new to you Lo's being bought and sold. If I can positively help someone, it is still worth hanging around.
Once you turn sarcastic, bitter and sour, it is time to move on...
Ya, some guy i talked to was looking for a fat boy. i suggested the lo. Even found a few for decent prices in his state. He bought one of the ones i found for him. Havn't seen him since. That was my good deed.
This thread used to be cool. Its' the same two or three people now. It's lame. Gone are Sgt Jim, Misbehavin, Captain Morgan and alot of other cool folks. Lots of different looks and ideas. Now it's just a couple people every freakin day. I learned much from the old folks. I didn't comment on every single post either unless it was to compliment or ask a tech question pertaining to some mod I'm doing.
hi bro can post the front pic of yr fatty? what ape bar u using? thanks
i still have my 2010 fatboy lo i put it away for the winter long time till nexet april
Right On Kojax. Got mine on 9/11/09. I remember on Travis AFB, A butter bar walking out of the BX said "There's that new fatboy...****ing hideous" lol.

LA Choppers Hefty Apes with their risers and top clamp kit. Pain in the ***. Had to knurl the risers and clamp with a ball peen hammer cuz they slid. I've ridden bikes with Carlinis and WW Chubby apes and these are way more comfortable...and cheaper. Super solid tho. I can bench 340 and I can't push or pull them.
very nice set up. tot of install the aux lights also.

*****, Beer and Lo's, Nothing better...
You just proved my point LOL Care factor? Okay. Cool Kid's List? I never said that lol. You did. Well Misbehavin said it alot in a congenial way. You assume pretense where there is none. I said how lame it is to see mostly the same people posting on here to each other daily. Compared to the old days where there were many different folks following and posting when it pertained to them or what they were doing. In my opinion the baddest looking lo's were JIMSFBLO, Mikeskins and Joseywaies...oh well. I saved big bucks and learned much from those folks. Especially Misbehavin. Bitter and Sour? Move on? Are you a biker or an HD forums counselor? LMFAO!!! Sarcasm is a ****ing virtue lol. If you take offense and you're a *****...well biker up. LMFAO. ****in Lame.

Since we need to comment every time, are those the Iron max bags, can you put a half helmet in them, and what happened to your rear turns? LHow'd you finish blacking the wheels? PC, rattle can? It looks like you also PC'd your lights. Did you find the front black bullet turns or just buy the heritage ones and have them PC'd?
The sled looks sweet. Can we see a back shot?
Serious questions.
As for the other, just not many of us left. Most have moved on to newer softails or touring. The comment thing is mostly to bump the thread back up. The Lo just isn't the flavor of the year anymore.
Cust Dynamic Tail/Stop/Sig, removed stock rear signals, cust dyn LED front signal inserts. PC'd everthing. No rattle can. Bags are Osprey and yes you can put a half helmet and more in them.
