Looks like Todd Cycle Bars 1 1/2? If so, any slippage because that bar has no knurling. Bought a set but my mechanic is trying to talk me out of it. Appreciate feedback

I had my 12 inch bars go loose on me at 70 mph on the interstate. Years later, I still have that fear when I'm on the highway. That's probably more likely with apes or mini-apes than shorter bars but I'd still listen to your mechanic.

yes, 10 1.5 Todds Cycle bars. I love them, but I can see why your mechanic is wary of them, nothing fits these bars. I have the big buffalo risers and had to get several attachments for a phone mount.
But again, I prefer the meaty look over 1 bars.

oh and no slippage, not with my set up at least. Have about 8k miles with the bars.
Got my bike to the shop and within 40 minutes of going through everything they found the problem. Freakin voltage regulator. And i just replaced the stock one last year. But they did a little bypass trick and then there was power to the bike. So they are ordering a new one and it should be ready by Saturday. I'm just glad it was something simple. I didn't think it would be this since it only being a year old, but i'm still relieved. Thanks for the combines effort in trying to help me out, much appreciated. I know a few people from the forums said it may be the regulator.

Dan, I'm curious. When the voltage regulator was replaced did you do it yourself or did the shop do it? Did the shop mechanic offer any suggestions as to what has caused the failure of now 2 of these? I'm thinking something is causing this failure and if that's not corrected, it's just a matter of time....
I do know for 2012 there was a recall for the voltage regulator. What the problem is, i don't know. But they will tell me once i go to pick it up. They're very good about that. I replaced the last one myself, wasn't easy laying on the floor plus having horrible grip.I bought one from DB electrical on ebay. So that may of been partly my fault..
