Totally agree. I knew once i got it in there the problem would be found. I just didn't think it would be this since i just replaced it last year. But again, it may be my fault for buying something cheaper off of ebay
Electrical parts can be strange, my CVO I ran an errand earlier in the morning and everything was fine, came home got a shower and the got on it to go get a haircut look down and the battery light was on. Bike was less than 2 years old with 1500 miles. Went to dealer and talked to my parts guy I trust and he told me they keep 6 each of the voltage regulators in stock because they sell so many. Damn thing was a bitch to change and I have a nice lift table, had to drain the coolant and remove the tubes going to the head
Anyone have a lead on where to get a black bolt and dome nut for the fuel tank? I thought I recalled some people replacing the chrome one with black but nothing shows up OEM. I did see a possibility from Fastenal website for a hex drive screw which I think will work but wanted to see what others had done.
perfect example, my handle bars are from a wideglide. they were chrome and i rattle canned them, not once has anyone questioned them. you know why, cause no one cares. it's your bike, do what you want. if you want to pay extra for a black nut go right ahead, i'll just paint mine.
