Bob, why did you sell the Ultimate. It's the best seat i've ever owned. I've had them on 3 different bikes
I actually just bought an Ultimate with rider back rest to try on my Lo although I have not yet put it on. I like the way the current Drag Specialties seat looks but thought I would try something different (again).
Checking in from Raleigh area NC. New FatBoy Lo owner, at least new to me. It's a 2011.
I suck with cameras, but hopefully I can get some better pics soon. Over the winter I want to go with a black freight train nacelle, black lower forks, and a full exhaust to replace the slip ons.
The bigger bag in particular. Holds a sh*t ton, back has a cover to slide over the sissy bar. With the bag sitting on the passenger seat or fender rack, it's like relaxing back into comfy furniture. That setup blows my back rest out of the water. Probably one of the best long range items to have on the bike.

I have bags like that, but they raise my center of gravity and make the bike top heavy in the corners.
I also have a set of Fat Boy saddle bags. Cannot even fit a laptop in them.
I also don't like strapping anything to the bike as it is a pain in the backside.
My Lo can be stripped for around town or loaded up to trip. That is the nice thing about Softy's.

Top heavy goes with traveling. I'm not shredding corners on a road trip. My bags hold a laptop just fine, not nearly as big as yours though.
Tying down with that luggage is really simple though, it's just paracord through the rings. Both bags are tied together and slipped over the sissy bar. When I get to the hotel, I just lift it off the sissy bar and carry it in. When I'm ready to go, just put it back down over the sissy bar and roll.
Hell, they're sitting in my closet tied together and ready to go from my last trip.

I've looked at that luggage, but haven't pulled the trigger... how is the quality? Fairly waterproof, zippers ok, etc?
