I got the 10,000 mile service done today. Got out the door for 311.00 including tax. That's not too bad I guess. I'm eventually going to do all the servicing myself but for now I'm just going to do the 5's. 5,000 15,000 ect and get someone who knows what they are doing for the 0's. Bike seemed about the same after of course except that the throttle was a little better adjusted. I also did one small mod by getting a new HD tank pouch. I had a magnetic closing one which worked OK. the new one has a regular latch but is at least twice the size of the old one. That will make it easier to get my ID card and security badge out when I go through the checkpoints at work. I can actually fit four fingers all the way inside. It would probably work good for an iPod pouch also. Here's some crappy cell phone pics. I might get around to blacking out the bar and shield at some point.

Thanks, Fatbob usmc EOD. I'm aware of such, but the part that clamps onto the back of the GPS doesn't look like any thing I've seen so far. I surely don't want to shell out any unnecessary penny for another GPS that is made specifically for bike! If there was some thing out there that some one would know???????

That is the best I've seen so far. kind of pricey but it wouldn't be big and bulky on your bars like most.
Thanks, pumas9087. They look very nice. I will definitely study them right away. Thanks again.

the numbers on the 222 are ridiculous.. if the TW-555's on a 103" make 96hp and 112tq at 10:1 or 10.5:1 compression, and the 222's make 95hp/111tq at 9.5:1 compression.. that's just crazy talk. so i'd imagine somewhere like 90hp and 100-105tq on a 96".. then get heads done and bump that up to 103" numbers with stock heads..hmm

Wish they had a tach more suitable for the FatBoys.
I believe it redlined around mid to high 5K?
Shame to see all those higher Rpms digits and never reach them.

But I keep telling myself that I wanted to wait until i had about 15000 miles before i invested that kind of money in to it. Oh well..
I couldn't wait... at 5,000 miles I had the 103 forged pistons put in along with 259e cam's. Bumped the compression to 10.5:1 and it's a whole new animal now. Could have went with the 107 but the price was too good to pass up for what I did. If you wait until 15,000 miles you'll regret waiting so long when you finally do it.

What did you spend on that upgrade if you don't mind me asking?

I don't mind, I'm sure a few people are curious. The engine work and parts were a little under $3K and included the following:

103 forged piston set, 10.5:1
Cam set - 259e
Adjustable pushrod set
High lift valve spring set
Manual compression release valve
All new gaskets and seals (for the entire engine/heads/valves)
All new fluids w/ filter
Labor (Engine work, bore cylinders, port heads, install compression reliefs, etc)

I aslo bought an Arlen Ness Big Sucker II and a Power Vision tuner so my total was a bit higher. This was all through an indy that I trust, not the dealership. No telling how much they'd want for this much work.
