raising front end?
would it be possible to raise the front end of an 09 heritage and then use the relocation brackets that kurykan sells that will lower the boards and move them outward? my trouble is that i want the extra legroom badly, but i already scrape my boards when cornering. don't want to lower them any further without raising everything else.
has anyone done this? does it affect the handling of the bike?
warn a brother!

For more legroom you have several options. there are floorboard extensions by Harley Goodies that will move the boards to the side. there are also new brackets you can get by Ness that will move them 2" forward and out. the HG extensions will decrease your lean angle by less than 1 degree. I rock them on my bike and would never go back. But I'd imagine that the Ness forward brackets would not affect lean angle at all. You can also get some highway pegs to keep you feet on most of the time and either mount them to your crash bar if you have one, or get some floorboard mounted pegs like the Kury Mark III's. As far as raising the front end, I guess you could put a longer spring and spacer in it, but I wouldn't bother. If you ride a softail and corner well, you will scrape regardless. Drew
i understand about the scraping being part of the deal, but i am looking to not make it worse. my bike is in my sig picture, but you might not be able to make out the highway pegs. the kind of crash gaurds i have would allow the boards to go forward, just so long as they mount to the same place (like the kurys do). apparently one or more of the relocation kits offered require use of the same space that the gaurds use.
