On a different not it would be good to know how to turn the red filter black (other than not ever cleaning it!) - anyone know if you can get a black filter oil instead of the red stuff used to restore the filter?
I do know that Arlen Ness sells both red and "stainless" colored filters, which take a red and a clear oil, respectively.

Wimmer machine makes a Black filter for the SE heavy Breather. You could just swap it out.
