Default 2010 Softail Deluxe/ Install of Screamin eagle hb issue

Bought the SE/HB Kit, when trying to install, the new backing plate holes don't line up on the TB. Anyone know of this issue?

I just bought a used one for ÂŁ70 which seemed like a bargain as they're ÂŁ170 new. I did wonder if it would restrict airflow but then as it's made by HD surely they would have factored that in to the equation.

I was thinking about putting one on my bike but when I talked to a tech, he said they take it off to tune the bike because...according to him...it does restrict some air. He didn't say how much but apparently it's enough for them to take it off to tune it.

I'll try it with and without and post my findings. Looking at the part it seems to have big enough slots to allow the air in. Not too worried about the performance TBH. Just want it to look good!!

Default SE replacement for compact filter

I have the compact SE filter kit currently installed on my 2009 SG. I purchased a tear drop AC cover for it online not knowing there was a larger filter size available being a fairly new Harley owner. Can I just purchase the larger filter element so that I can use the newly purchased cover or will I need to purchase a whole new filter kit to make this thing work? If that's the case, filter cover will be sold off and I'll continue running the compact with rain cover. The filter cover as it sits is about 3" too long for the compact filter currently installed. I would guess K&N would have the larger filter element that should fit on the SE kit that is currently installed? Thanks much....
