91 Fatboy not running
The bike shot flames and a big black cloud of smoke and hasn't ran since. I replaced the battery because the other one shorted out. Since then, I've check the circuit breaker on the back fender, the 3 relays under the dash, the ignition switch, coil and spark plugs. Plugs work in another ignition system, no power going to the coil. Starter turned initially but no longer turns over. Also, high beam light stopped working, low works fine. Does anyone have an idea as to what kind of damage I'm looking at?

Part of me wants to know what happened just prior to your bike turning into a fire-breathing dragon. The other half says you fried your electrical system.........stator, voltage regulator, coil and wires, electronic ignition system, circuit breakers, basically your whole electrical system.
I would check and see if any wires are melted. Then I would test each component of the electrical system to see if anything is still functioning. not a difficult job, just time consuming.
