Default Bel Ray Tranny Fluid

Went looking at something for a tranny fluid change on my 2009 Heritage. Most of the indy's and even the HD dealerships in this area are pushing Bel Ray Transmission Fluid. It doesn't have a weight on the bottle but I did a little research and it seems to be 85W140 (non synthetic). They also like it because it's red and can be identified easily if a leak occures. Anyone have any comments on this brand? I did buy a quart and am going to give it a try.

That's what I just put in mine. My indy recommended it and I've had no problems w/ it so far. They've been around a long time, go for it.

I use Royal Purple. A buddy of mine has been using Bel Ray for sometime now and he loves it. I may switch next time I change the oil.

Thanks guys. I'm going for it. My bike has been running great since new but I agree with the 'indy' I talked to this morning. 20W50 (synthetic) is a little light for transmission use. Thanks again.

I use Bel Ray. I started with my 1000 mile service and was surprised how quiet my transmission became.
