So I am ridding home from work at night. I notice my front right marker light is out. I figure the bulb burned out. I try the signal and it works. So maybe its the marker filament, no big deal.
As I down shift going home, the light comes back on. Get home and check the lights with the engine off, they all work. The signal light seems to be hit or miss now. It works, I start it up and ride, it goes out, it comes on... WTF?
Anyone have this issue before? FWIW I have the smoked signals and yellow bulbs on a 07 Night Train (and just had the exhaust replaced).
There are 1157 LED's available, but you'll need to install a resistor in the wiring so the blinker and security system will work right.
I have two 1157A and 1156A LED bulbs on my work bench left over from another project, as well as an extra resistor if you're interested in going that route.

I was sort of looking for plug and play. Keep the trouble shooting lower down the road.
I might just to Autozone/Advanced Auto and get some silver stars or whatever they have on the higher end, if all 1157A's will work for my needs/bike.
I need a brighter headlight as well... Might just do the bulb, vs a new housing too, for now.
I thought it was just my night train marker lights that did that. I have the smoked lenses too. gone through maybe 3 diff. sets since I went to the smoked lenses..Maybe I will get lucky and get a set that LASTS.......

I hope the higher cost chrome looking amber ones will look better with the smoke lens when turned off and last longer.
I do question if the shaking of the bike or bumps cause the filament to distort.
I was told by my stealer that there are LED bulbs now that jsut plug right in... never asked anymore about them so that's all I got for you.
I looked all over for plug & play LEDs (resistor built in?) and couldn't find any, so I went the resistor route. I bought the lamps from a vendor that advertises on here.
