I just recently installed Samson true duals on my modded 05 standard. The location of the original left side passenger footpeg ain't gonna work, it's too close to the heat shield. Scuffs and burned boot residue will mar the heat shield. I would rather change to footboards but don't know what options I have to correct this problem. Anyone with true duals ever run into this problem?
hey goober I just put Vance and Hines duals on my 04 Heritage my bike had the full passenger floorboard kit on it when i got it. You have the pegs. The floorboard kit brackets put the floorboards further away from the exhaust on the left side. I will see if I can post a pic of my setup.
I think I can help you with this.
You can add 1" of width with one of my extensions. Just get a bolt 1" longer that what is there now. I'll just charge you shipping. Send info to tom@harleygoodies.com

Hate to bring this thread back from the dead but I just did true duals and ran into this exact same issue.. Was wondering if anyone knew if the Kuryakyn 4374 splined floorboard mounts had enough distance to clear the left side pipe. I like that setup with the 4351 ribbed passenger floorboards better than the stock harley setup.. more ability to adjust.. and cheaper. Doesnt seem like Kuryakyn lists dimensions anywhere.
