#1 - Why are leather saddlebags so expensive...??? Any sponsors here that you can suggest that would "not bend me over" when I buy them...???
#2 - I would like suggestions on installing purdy lights.
Any suggestions on type of saddlebags for my Fatboy Lo...???
My bike is Flat Black(denim) with alotta brushed aluminum. I love the look of the bike and the only other thing I am planning on blacking out are the handlebars.
I am one of those guys that likes the contrast & don't want to go all black. I won't have alotta chrome for the lights to make "sparkle & shine." Any suggestions on what lights to get for this type of bike & where to put them? (no "not up there" to all you chrome guys) LOL
I prefergreen but would it be worth the investment on this type of bike? (((Click on me to see a few more pics in album.)))
I know I'll get bashed for this, but I've seen some of the cheaper "leather-like" ones bought off eBay and they weren't that bad. If you want a cheap alternative you might could check some of them out. I've even seen great deals on some used bags too....about $100-$200 range for some nice ones.
Just picked up a set of Fatboy saddlebags from Fox Creek Leather (http://www.foxcreekleather.com). Price ain't too bad and I like them so far. Easy to install if you get the throw over ones.
i gave $40 for my willie and max bags. 150 for the easy brackets. yes if it says motorcycle or boat or aircraft it cost more. been checking the tool boxes at Lowes and they have a large chest for $29. i ride without bags and when i use them it is a trip and i dont care what others think when on the road.
