It depends. Contact S&S for starts and ask if this combo will work in your bike. Contact HD as well. Many or most of these set ups are for right side drive, so prepare for mods. On the other hand, S & S has found its way onto many a HD.

this set up is a left side drive with a belt--I checked that first..
You need to provide a little more information on the motor and tranny. Are they bolted together with a swing arm mount at the back of the trans, or are they separate and held together by the primary? If the motor and trans bolt together than you"ll need a bagger frame to support the swing arm, if they are separate and held together with the primary you can use a softail or hard tail frame. Good luck on your project.
Hypothetical Answer:
Nothing is impossible. Be creative
unfortunately--I can only be as creative as my wallet will allow, and right now that aint much.
Hoping this is a fairly easy bolt-on, with maybe an adaptor or something.

It is an S&S motor,with a Bruto V primary, connecting a Jims 6 spd.
Left side belt drive.
Its in a hardtail built by Rick Fairless in Dallas.
Mild frame--nothing crazy.
Sounds like a fun project. There is so much stuff out there for Softails that you should be able to put something together for a reasonable amount of money. I do a lot of shopping on line and search a lot of ebay listings. I have found lots of parts on ebay for a third or less of retail, just be sure you know what you need. Post up pics as you start building, and don't be shy about asking for help before you spend the money.
my builder just called me to say this will not work...
Something about the way everything mounts in a "balanced" motor frame.
Said it would be no problem on an earlier model, but the swingarm is connected to the tranny or something, and the one I was looking at is not made for that..
oh well--thanks for the help!
You have a bagger motor and trans. The motor and trans are bolted together and the swing arm mounts to the back of the transmission. Might be able to mount it in an aftermarket FXR or dyna frame. Unusual setup to come out of a hard tail frame.
