Thinking about getting some Ride Wright Fat Daddys for my '06 Deluxe. These were on a '01 Fat Boy. Does anyone know if these will fit my bike? I'm hoping for a direct, bolt on fit, but I don't mind buying spacers. I just want to avoid getting stuck with something that won't fit my bike at all. The seller mentions part no. RW-2506. And I'm assuming that these are Ride Wrights and not the DNAs. I'm going to go by the spoke count - 50 = Ride Wrights, 52 = DNA. Right or not?
And like I said, these are used. Is there anything I should look for? How do I know that they are true? Etc., etc. A lot of money (at least to me) and I don't want to get taken. Or should I avoid buying used wheels altogether?
Thanks Drew. I figured if anyone knew, it would be you. Gonna go get them Friday morning. Merry X-mas to me. And sorry mom and kids, looks like dad spent all the xmas money on himself this year.
I'd call Ride Right first. As I remember the offset of Softtail wheels changed in '03 with the advent of the 150m.m. tire. The 2000-2002 came with a 130 tire stock. The Harley P&A catalog shows different part numbers for rear wheels 00-02 than 03 and later. It might work fine, but I'd call the manufacturer to be sure before I spent my money.
