I won't get to do anything to the motor for at least another year, if not longer, so I just went with the Fuelpak to get me on the road for now. If I do the motor work, I know I'm gonna want to go all out and that's gonna cost some cash, but I will budget in for a good quality tuner and some dyno time.
$100.00 spent on the Fuelpak is better than the download from the dealer. Download adds no fuel so you'll still be running lean. On my 06 Heritage I had the dealer download and on my 09 SG I have a PCV from Fuel Moto with a pre-loaded map. Quite a difference but I didn't know what I was missing with the Heritage until I ran with a PCV. Even with the Fuelpak you will run richer(cooler). Now that you've bought the Fuelpak you might as well use it.
