I'm definitely enjoying the wrap pictures! Can't wait to get started on this.
Keep us posted and put up some pictures when you get around to wrapping those pipes

It's not in the sunlight but you can kinda see the 'burnt' look.

Here is mine with out any high temp paint. This is with less than 1000 miles. Once they start turning I will just start adding the high temp. And as mentioned DEI is good wrap. I used that on my last pipes. The wrap on these is Thermotec (or something like that) and I got it from Autozone. I also used stainless hose clamps instead of the annoying metal clips they sell.

Photo of my 'bones with the heat shields removed and the stock headers wrapped with beige/neutral wrap. Just to give you a rough idea of what yours might look like if/when you wrap yours.

These pipes are actually coming off soon and my Martin Bros. over-unders are going on. They're chrome and I was planning on wrapping them originally, as I'm not a huge chrome guy, but once I got the pipes in hand I just can't bring myself to cover them up, as they are that nice.

I maintain a rather large (compared to the average household) collection of tarantulas. I'm no stranger to itchy jobs. Lol. For those who may be unaware, many new world species of tarantula have urticating hairs that they use as a defense mechanism. When these hairs get in your skin, it causes an immune response that causes itchiness. Depending on the species, the reaction to the hair can be mild to severe.

Thanks again for the input thus far! Can anyone recommend a good place for instructions? I do have my manual for the pipes, but I don't think it covers wrapping...
I got nothing to add to this thread, but there is no end to the information you get on this forum, LOL!

Lol! It never ends!

Thanks a lot for the feedback, guys! I especially enjoyed the pictures. I'll be sure to post as soon as I get around to wrapping. The last few days have been so nice, I've been riding instead of doing anything else.

Here is my bike...imagine the pipes wrapped...looks good, eh?

Haha! Thank you! The relocation accomplished my goals for cleaning up the front-end. They are still quite noticeable, too. A major plus! I have to thank Mark (Story808) for the idea and advice on getting it done.
