Default Softbrake Mod

OK getting ready to do mine on deluxe, just some clearity on the wiring, do i cut the white and black wire and twist them to gether or just bare the wire and wrap around. and tape up. would like some ideals.

Has anybody tried using a spade connector and take out the lite bulb and put it in there. and ground the black wire? Hate cutting into the wiring.

Thanks for all the help.

I cut them and spliced in the plate light with crimped butt connectors.

nice work dog, got my softbrake parts yesterday. Did you need to pull off the rear wheel to install the under tailite plate mount?

Nope, I did mine right on the stand, there is a bit of profanity required but it's doable. Recommend a 7/16th deep on a 1/4 ratchet.

Good luck.

easy way to do mine, since i tapped into the wiring harness under the fender, was to remove the rear fender ( take the seat and ecu tray out, unplug the rear harness, remove 4 torx bolts and off comes the fender). i didnt feel like crawling on my garage floor lol
