I thought it was on the rear cylinder, or does temp sensor different from the ETIMS sensor ?
The Engine Idle Temperature Management System (EITMS) is a system, or a set of conditions, not a sensor. The EITMS is activated or deactivated based upon certain conditions (engine temperature, vehicle speed, engine rpms and throttle position). The individual conditions are determined by sensors.
The Engine Temperature Sensor provides one piece of information for the Engine Idle Temperature Management System. When all conditions of the EITMS are met, the ECM will activate the EITMS to cut fuel to the rear cylinder fuel injector. When conditions are not met (any one of them), the ECM will deactivate the EITMS and resume fuel to the rear injector.
