Thanks Talldog, My bike went in the shop today. Looking forward to getting this fixed.
Great!
Hopefully your dealer will get the correct BCM installed the first time. Make sure your Security system works ok before you leave the dealer.
It took me three trips, the first trip to the dealer, the dealer had ordered the wrong BCM, second trip, correct BCM, but dealer forgot to program the Security system to "talk" to the new BCM, third trip got everything working correctly.
This is what IRK's me, I know anyone can make a mistake, God knows I did when before retiring. But If they checked Ur bike out before leaving they would have known.
I don't mind taking anything back in for work, just don't like to return 2-3-4 times before original issue is fixed. That tells me that they don't check there repairs afterwards..
I've also learned that there is anywhere from Newbie's (Wrenchs) to One's with the MOCO PHD's.. I have learned which ones have the experience and that I will allow to touch my bike in the 3 dealerships around me. U can request who works on Ur bike and not just take the luck of the draw.
It does and will make a difference on the quality of workmanship U get.
