I have found a lot of great information on this site and I would like to give a big thanks to all for this.
I am new to the Harley brand but have recently picked myself up a nice 2009 Rocker C with some nice upgrades. But now I am looking to do a heartland kit with detachablepassenger seat for the wife so she can ride in more comfort.
Is there a good person through Heartland that you have dealt with. I will be spending a good $$ here and want it to go smooth
Still deciding on what rear fender to do with, the 20" Wild Heart or the 24" Heartbreaker? Is there anyone running the short fender with HLs second seat?
Also, what is the best set up for the plate. I want it legal so it needs a light and brake light
I think the short fender looks much better. Show off that fat tire. Get a sdiemount palte with the built in Cateye LED from Heartland. They make oens that mount to the swingarm, or to the rear foot peg mount.
I have the shortest fender. Don't expect it to actually, you know, keep water off your back, but it IS the best-looking one of the bunch, IMO. And I got it from Drew and Shawn at Dr. VTwin. Only way to go, brotha.
Keep in mind that you WILL have to lower the bike to make it look proper. At LEAST 2". Otherwise, your bike will look like a 4x4. So plan for that. Hell, just order a Shotgun Shock kit while you're at it. And alas- Drew sells those as well! See how everything works out?

Thanks for the info. Wasnt really looking at lowering the bike but I dont want a fender 3inches off the rubber. So the shocks will drop the rear 2 inches?
Not sure what you're asking exactly. Your Rocker C (correct me if I'm wrong) doesn't come with ride-height-adjustable shocks, so you would need an aftermarket set. Either bolts (not recommended- I have them and the ride sucks), Progressive 422's (I will be putting them on soon) or air ride.
