Default Need help with fork slider dust cap ID
I have two 41mm sliders that use different dust caps/boots. They are identical except at the top where the boot fits. Both are Showa p/n G593-30 with the bottom one being SA-1 and the top one from my 08 FXSTB being SA-3. I am trying to figure out which rubber boot I need for the SA-1 fork. I think the SA-1 might be from a 2007 FXSTC. It might be HD p/n 48620-07. Does anyone know what bikes this fork slider came oem and does a black rubber boot exist for it?

Default Part Number
Does anybody know what the dust seal part # is for the fork slider pictured at the bottom. I have the same problem and i need help.

I *think* it might be this but I never tried it. The set screws look like a match for the way the tops are machined. It supposedly was used on several years FXSTC and FXWG. The parts book shows a second inner seal that the parts guy told me is not used with the standard FXSTB forks, so I'm guessing it is for the FXSTC? Can anyone confirm?

yes i can confirm that those are just decorative caps you still need the rubber dust covers/wipers..for underneath those...

what caps did you go with? I have the same problem, i have a 07 night train and bought sliders from a 07 fxstc. mine are like the ones on top and the new ones are like the ones on the bottom. Is everything the same with the forks except where the dust cap goes on? If i buy just the caps of a FXSTC will they swap over to my bike?

If you got FXSTC sliders get the stock caps and pc em black it'll look better that way anyways.. the rubber boots fade and look like chit after some time anyways...
